JJ Redick’s coaching job for Lakers compared to dating Kim Kardashian by Shannon Sharpe

The trio was in sync as they admitted that the job had longevity issues but coaching a team such as the Lakers was a good opportunity for any fresher coach. As this would be Redick’s first experience at coaching, the hosts believed that the star should seize the opportunity.

The Los Angeles Lakers fired Darvin Ham just after two seasons. As Redick was offered to coach the Charlotte Hornets, the Lakers also made a bid for Redick. It will be interesting to see if Redick accepts the job considering he shares a podcast with LeBron James.

Shannon Sharpe was against the Lakers hiring the unexperienced JJ Redick

As JJ Redick was rumored to be the at the front for the Lakers’ head coach position, the news received a lot of criticism. Redick’s relationship with James was a problem for many, others were concerned about the former athlete’s experience in the field. Sharpe fell on the latter side.

During an episode of the NightCap Show, Sharpe explained the reason behind his protest for Redick as an HC. Sharpe mentioned that many prior coaches from the NBA and the NFL including Ham had assistant coaching gigs before taking over the big job.

However, Sharpe also mentioned Steve Kerr for being inexperienced and coaching the Golden State Warriors. This may have been the reason the former football player has now changed his opinion. The star joined Arenas and Johnson to advise Redick to consider the offer.
