Former Barcelona presidential candidate Victor Font has taken fresh aim at Joan Laporta.

With Barca finishing the season trophyless, Font says Laporta must take responsibility.

Font told Cataluyna Radio: "The people who make the main decisions are Laporta's former brother-in-law, who has no charge, but is in all decisions, Deco, friend of the ex-brother-in-law and Laporta, who can love the club as much as he wants, but who is not technical.

"The Laporta from before knew how to delegate, had Cruyff and Txiki (Begiristain) for advisers ..., It has nothing to do with now."

Font, however, avoided making comparisons with the Real Madrid. Instead referring to the ex-Barca talent now working at Manchester City.

"Comparatives with the Merengues club are hateful right now. We could compete with them if things were done right. We have the best coach in the world (Pep Guardiola) who is not working at the club, the best executives (Begiristain and Ferran Soriano) who are working at another club.

"You have to create the conditions for all this talent to return."

Font also said: "I would have bet on a structure that would give stability to the coach. What we experienced a few weeks ago was a surreal press conference. He spoke of stability and two months earlier he dropped that if he were not a legend, Xavi would be out.

"Not even Guardiola with this structure could win anything. A coach that the president marks the calls, what can he do ...?"
